Hello! I'm Sandy Sawyer and I teach reading and math at Hilltop Elementary School. I am a Bama grad with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I have a Math Endorsement certification, Reading Endorsement certification, Teacher Coaching Endorsement certification, and completion of the Houston County Teacher Leader Academy. In addition, I was Teacher of the Year at Hilltop for the 2019-2020 school year.
I have a wonderful husband who retired from the military in 2014 but continues to work at Robins AFB. We have two boys, Landon and Avery. Landon is a graduate of GA Southern, and Avery is a GA Tech grad.
In my spare time (LOL) I love to paint, draw, and garden. There's nothing more relaxing that getting your hands a little dirty. I also love spending time with my boys when they are home and making memories.
